Those Pesky Nano Clips…….

A key design objective for the Aqua One Aqua Nano Range was that the aquariums should have very clean lines with an ‘open’ modern appearance. This means of course that an aquarium canopy could not be fitted but, likewise, the aquarium could not ideally be left open as many species of fish like to jump out given an opportunity. The solution adopted was a clear, glass cover with acrylic support clips. It works well and looks good but the Nano Cips can be fragile if treated roughly as many of our customers have found out.

Not just Aqua Nano but Betta Too!

The Aqua Nano clips are used throughout the Aqua Nano Range with the AquaNano 25, AquaNano 30, AquaNano 40 all using the same clip size while the new Aqua Nano 60 features a somewhat larger clip to support a larger and heavier glass cover.

Aqua One have also just introduced the brand new Betta range of aquariums aimed at small fish and Siamese fighter keepers. All of the Aqua One Betta aquariums including the Betta Mono, Betta Duo and Betta Trio use the smaller Nano Clip size as used by the Aqua Nano 25, 30 and 40.

Can I avoid breaking the Nano Clips?

You can be as careful as you like but clear acrylic tends to be brittle stuff and when the clips have to be a small as they are….. Breakages are inevitable. So its perhaps best to keep a few spares around… they will come in handy.
