A brand new replacement powerhead pump to fit the Aqua One AquaNano 40 aquarium. The pump is supplied complete with impeller suckers and outlet 'nozzle' so it is easily fitted to your existing pipework. Do remember that without this pump water will not flow through the filter compartments at the rear of the Aqua One AquaNano range so all filtration wil be lost. Its really worth while keeping a spare pump around for this reason - its cheaper and less distressing than replacing your fish

How to Maintain the Aqua One Maxi 102 Powerhead for AquaNano 40

With just a bit of help, your Aqua One filter powerhead can last for years. These powerheads work 24/7 and eventually a new one will become necessary. We have every Aqua One filter powerhead in stock and ready to ship, so you can be assured of fast service when you need it. But, in the meantime, let Aqua One Parts help you make the most of the one you have.

Keep Your Aqua One Powerhead Clean

Keeping the powerhead for your Aqua One AquaNano 40 clean is essential. Dirty, clogged up powerheads run hotter because their flowrate is lower, this shortens their life and lowers filter efficiency. By all means clean the powerhead itself but even more importantly be sure to change the Aqua One 1c carbon cartridge and the Aqua One 102c ceramic cartridge on a regular basis: great, original Aqua One Filter Media is the very best way to keep your set up clean and low in debris and rubbish.

Change the Aqua One Impeller

The Aqua One AquaNano 40 powerhead uses the Aqua One 26i impeller which runs on a ceramic shaft. The impeller is the only moving part and should be exchanged yearly at which time it will have spun tens of millions of times: little wonder these can get worn and noisy. Please don’t leave it until the Aqua One 26i impeller breaks and you are left powerhead-less.

Keep an Eye on Your Aqua One Powerhead

You can learn a lot about the health of an Aqua One AquaNano 40 powerhead by just spending one minute, once per week watching it work. Is the flow rate through the filter constant? Or does it vary?  Is there a decent amount of water flowing through the filter? Is the powerhead running quietly and smoothly or does it rattle and vibrate? Any of these things can indicate that a replacement is due any time. Don’t worry too much: we have the best prices and fastest dispatch on a brand new Aqua One AquaNano 40 powerhead posted directly to your door or place of work.
