Details

The Media retaining grid has a very important function in the CF 1000 and CF 1200 external filters. It acts to compress the filter media so that water cannot easily bypass it and a great percentage of waste is removed with each pass through the filter. In addition the grid prevents small pieces of biomedia etc being sucked up into the filter and damaging or blocking the fragile impeller unit.
