Aqua One Wool Pads for Ocellaris 850 and 850UV 137w - 2 pack
A pack of two 137w fine polymer wool filter pads to suit the Aqua One Ocellaris 850 and Ocellaris 850UV external filters. The 137w wool pad should be changed every four to six weeks for a new pad. The fine Polymer wool material used is not washable and should be thrown away after a single period of use.
Function
The Aqua One 137w Polymer wool filter pad is designed solely to fit the new Ocellaris 850 and 850UV external canister filter. The 137w acts as the final stage in the filtration process and removes and fine remaining particles of waste by trapping them between the fine fibres.
Effect on Flow Rate
Because the 137w is constructed from such fine polymer fibres it will reduce the flow rate of your Ocellaris 850 or 850UV when blocked and dirty. Reduced filter flow rate can be catastrophic for aquarium water quality. The solution is thankfully simple – just replace the 137w as required.
Lifespan
The 137w is a ‘one-shot’ disposable polymer filter pad and should be discarded every four to six weeks. The polymer fibres compress and make effective rinsing impossible. Don’t attempt to wash the 137w out as this will only reduce the flowrate and lifespan of your Ocellaris 850 or 850UV
Pack size.
Two 137w are provided per pack. Making a pack last between two and three months. Heavily stocked aquariums may shorten this life span – do what is required to keep you Aqua One Ocellaris 850 or 850UV filtering at a good pace.

The Aqua One 137w Polymer Wool Pad works best with the Aqua One 137s Blue sponge pad, Aqua One 138s Black sponge pad and, of course, Aqua One’s Bionoodles 600g The addition of a bag of Aqua One’s Advance Carbon 450g will really help to clarify and polish your aquarium water.
