Fit a new pack of Aqua One 3c and the Aqua One 3s when you receive the kit. After this replace both the Aqua One 3c cartridges every six weeks or so and gently rinse the Aqua One 3s in a little aquarium water ( it doesnt have to be pristine) to preserve the helpful filtration bacteria that grow in the sponge pores. The Bionoodles can also be rinsed in the same way. Though these only need to be replaced every year or so. A few at a time is best.
